The repertoire of Wayang Golek puppet theater includes the Ramayana and the Mahabharata Hindu epic tales, as well as Islamic and indigenous folk tales. These colorful performances by dhalang, or puppet masters, are accompanied by song and the Gamelan orchestra, and are part of the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia.
