Hand fabricated in Java, Indonesia using traditional repousse techniques. Our Lady of Guadalupe (or the 'Virgin of Guadalupe') is a visual representation of the apparition of the Virgin Mary based on Catholic tradition. This historic image is enshrined in the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City - the world's most visited Catholic pigrimage site, and has become one of the most important (and most reproduced) religious and cultural symbols of Mexico.
