A Taste of Tika

Welcome to our blog, A Taste of Tika! The blog documents day to day activities, trade shows, products and a taste of life here at Tika Imports in Northern California!

Beautiful embroidered textiles - a little early morning shopping, in our own booth....

They fit!

This unique pair of silver enameled shoes was made in Kashmir in the 1920’s. They were originally created to be worn for a wedding ceremony, and since they are quite small and rather uncomfortable, we’d guess that they probably haven’t been worn much since.

These shoes found a new home yesterday, but not before we got a few photos of them on the tiny feet of Tika girl Colleen.
